Some older films are better than some newer films.
Some newer films are better than some older films. This is not the answer you want, but it's the bare truth. |

it really depends on what you watch. because some of the new can be good and some of the old films can be really good too.

"better" is such a subjective term that I'm afraid you will find no evidence to support a paper. You might want to rethink this.
Are you making a distinction between independent and major studio films? Between foriegn language and domestic? As the others stated, some older films are amazing and some suck. The same with contemporary.

Surely its about how well the director portrayed the vision within the constraints of the time the film was made, how groundbreaking it was for its time and the reactions of audiences at the time of release, rather than simply comparing the films.

im basing my paper on The wolfman films the 1931 1941 2007 and 2010 in comparison to the twilight saga and why its all about vampirism at the moment.
