Vampyres

Anyone seen this movie besides me.. Man it is so god damn hard to find someone where I live that has seen this movie... It is not a gore drenched flick but it has it moments. I say it is a vampire exploitation flick mixture..

Yep, I've seen it. Funny as hell, the way that one vampire girl keeps that guy prisoner in the house. Sucking enough of his blood to keep him weak, but not killing him. I like the way they kill that other dude, with the broken wine bottle. That scene is bloody as fuck. LOL Have you seen Satan's Blood? I have yet to find ANYBODY who has seen that one, besides me. You seem to have a good deal of knowledge on obscure horror, so I thought I would ask ya'.

In my opionion Vampyres is the best of the erotic euro vampire movies of the 70s. If you dig movies with busty vampire women wearing see-thru nighties running in slo-mo (and who doesn't), then this is the best of the litter.

For some reason I've never been able to take the vamp films of Jean Rollin seriously, even though they are simlilarly themed. Blood Moon (Werewolf Shadow on DVD) also has some hot vampire babes running and jiggling in slo-mo.

So what about Daughters of Darkness? Did you dig that one? Blood and Roses, though tamer, is also sexy. As are Malenka the Vampire and the busty Hammer stuff--especially Twins of Evil, Countess Dracula, Lust for a Vampire, and Vampire Lovers.

So what do you thing, Ritualisitc...is the slo-mo jiggly vampire genre one that needs to make a comeback? I for one would vote yes!!!!!!

I think that is THE LAST thing that needs to make a comeback. I'm ready to see jiggling testicles, thank you very much.

Julie Strain trading cards sound mucho cool. She is definitely the queen of the B movie (no matter what Misty Mundae might try to tell you). I love heavy Metal 2! I too am a huge Ingrid Pitt fan--in my opinion nothing in the Hammer archives can top her blood bath in Countess...not to mention all the fanged jiggling that took place in Vampire Lovers.
