Texas ChainSaw Massacre, some help

Hi,

I am quite new to many horror films and have so far only watched The Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream Series of films. I recently went to see the remake of the Orginal TCM,which I enjoyed a lot. However I have been told that their are other TCM movies and that I should watch these as they are much better.

My questions are:

How many TCM films are their and in what order were they released?

and

Is the 2003 TCM better that the Original? and your views on the film.

Thanks

Dev

I think there was just 3

Then a re-release of TCM original a while back, might have just been for DVD possibly

Then this latest installment of the remake 2003

I peronally enjoyed the 1st and the 2nd one the most but I like to watch them all when time permits.

Personally, I liked the original and the 3rd Leatherface, part 2 was good but I thought some of it was a little over the top. The character in part 2 called choptop, played by Bill Mosley, puts on an excellent performance. You may want to check that one out 2. I havent seen the next genration but I heard it was mediaocre at best. There are a lot of good chainsaw films, one that comes to mind is a classic called Motel Hell, its a little cheesy but its a good watch if youre new to horror.

Also you need to check out the slasher films like Halloween and Friday the 13th, they are a must see in the horror genre.

The first three are good....stay FAR away from the 4th one. I don't know how good/bad the remake is yet.

I heard that all the sequels were poor.
