The Mist
Well I think the film deserves its own discussion thread. Spoilers can be talked about freely here, so make sure you've seen the film if you want to read the thread.... Anyway:
What was everyone's favorite monster in the film? Favorite Scene? My favorite monster is the huge one at the end... It's absolutely spectacular to see it almost as a silhouette walking all by itself in the field... it's amazing. Second fave would be those spiders because they're so fucking terrifying. Scene would either be the tentacle attack in the garage, or the end where they see the huge monster.

The dimly silhouetted "pickers".
The ending.

the best monster was the last one shown on the film. the huge towering four legged monster with tentacles all over its sides. you know the one, its foot came close to crushing the car.

i wasnt as impressed by the giant monster as i would have been if i hadn't seen cloverfield - but it did look good.
really hard to pick a favorite scene for me - i thought the movie was pretty depressing - but i did like the look of the monsters - the pseudo human faces of the insects and spiders ..

I was very bleak. Felt really bummed for the guy at the end.
My favorite scene was when they shot the lunatic christian woman :p The scene with spider eggs hatching all over that guy made me cringe.... |

I love the ending. I love it when "the hero" fucks everything up due tro a twisted sense of morality. He blew it, and it was awesome.
When the dad promises his son that he won't let the monsters get him, I turned to my wife and said "I'd never make that promise...it's totally out of his control. Promise the kid you'll "die trying" or 'they'll have to go through me first'"

SPOILER.
Instead of letting the creatures have their way with the passengers, he opted for a quick death that he deemed to be a more acceptable way to die. |
