You shouldīve posted this thread in the Asian horror forum, dude.

Aaaanyways....

I woulndīt exactly call Oldboy a horror movie. Itīs more like an action/thriller and a mind fuck, as Dave so nicely put it.

They discussed this movie on the 30 greatest horror movies of all time a few nights ago (And thanks to them I also know the ending. Way to spoil it jerks!) but it's a pretty sick movie. I might actually give it a rent because it's just so twisted.

Weird, I wouldn't say it was a horror at all either. Anyway, if you're a fan of Asian cinema (or movies at all) watch Park's entire revenge trilogy. Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, and Lady Vengeance. His contribution (Cut) to Three... Extremes was also amazing. The guy is a brilliant writer and director, can't wait to see I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK and Evil Live.

Ug, that sucks...without the crazy shock ending, it wouldnt be nearly as good.

Fantastic movie though.

Its a good film Oldboy but Im yet to be convinced its the masterpiece some people would have you believe.

Its still significantly better and more original than the bulk of the films being churned out these days though.

Old Boy is a brilliant film, but LAdy Vengeance is even better! More cruel and more beautiful:D

Anything this guy touches is gold.
I am also eagerly awaiting I'm a Cyborg.
His films rank amoung my top favourites.
Mr. Vengeance being nearest to the top.
