Dogtooth (2009) I.M.D.B. Three teenagers live isolated, without leaving their house, because their over-protective parents say they can only leave when their dogtooth falls out. What a bizarre movie. While interesting for the most part, it also felt somewhat pointless. There wasn't a satisfactory arc to the story or characters, but it was interesting, with a few memorable scenes. 7/10

Dreaming Purple Neon, 2016. 8/10
Hahaha, wow..love this film. The ending reminded me of America after Donald Trump was made President. Magi, 2016. 3/10 Utter garbage.

Elle (2016) I.M.D.B. A successful businesswoman gets caught up in a game of cat and mouse as she tracks down the unknown man who raped her. Quite a good movie. The 'protagonist's' motivations are somewhat confusing, and I would hardly call it a 'game of cat and mouse' like the description. It certainly didn't go where I thought it would, which was refreshing. Worth checking out. 7.5/10

The Neon Demon. Gets better every time. Oddly, I love this movie but can see how it might not appeal to all Horror fans.

I agree that it doesn't appear to be fully formed, but the concept of disfunction and isolation are really well observed. Definitely worth a watch.

A Room To Die For. 5/10
Strange old couple rent a room to a young couple. It doesn't take long before things start to get nasty. The film suffers from the limitations of budget restraints and some fairly wooden acting, although I warmed to the old couple, who reminded me of Sheila Keith & Rupert Davies in the excellent 1974 Brit movie Frighmare.
