Dick Beebe - Writer of House heads off to the Haunted Hill

Friends,

I'm sorry to say that Dick Beebe who penned both my remake of HOUSE on HAUNTED HILL and my first Tales from the Crypt episode ONLY SKIN DEEP has passed away.  Dick was diagnosed with kidney cancer about six months ago.

The doctors told him he would be lucky to make it to the end of the year.

He didn't.  Dick was a great guy and a terrific writer.  You may remember him from the opening scene in HHH where he plays the nurse that gets stabbed in the neck with the pencils.

I'm sorry that we didn't get to work together more often. He will be missed.

Dick if you're listening:  I still have that House on Haunted Hill T-Shirt with Vincent Price on it that you gave me.  I'll try to remember to wear it next time I see you... Probably at the next Beatles concert.  God Bless.
