I'd go with Dr. Paul Ruth. He was great in Scanners. Janet Leigh was excellent in Psycho too.
Curious, just food for discussion -- I suppose it's more or less a subjective call, but is Marion Crane really a supporting character as opposed to one of the main characters in Psycho? It's hard to believe, but she's killed in the shower apx 45 mins into the movie, which half the movie. In that first 45 mins, she's is the unquestioned main character. And that is one the most unique twists in film history. Of course I'm not saying Marion is thee main character, as opposed to Norman. If I had to pick one, it's Norman without question.
