Movies aren't philosophy.

I watch horror films because they are cool. They entertain me and sometimes frighten me. DONNIE DARKO provokes thought and that is entertaining. THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE scared me . Even now, if I wake up at 3:00 AM , I think it's the hour when demons from hell have the most power. Both of these films are great. My pick for worst film would be all the FRIDAY THE 13th series. Bad acting , bad writing and bad direction add up to a series of films that don't have one moment of fear or anything cool or entertaining. There's some gore and some tits and ass. Boring. On the other hand, there are dozens of really bad films that I love. ATTACT OF THE MUSHROOM PEOPLE is an example of a film I love even though it's pretty bad. I love it because it's incredibly creative.

The worst horror movie I've seen was probably Croaked: Frog Monsters from Hell. I can't believe it was produced by Troma.

Are you kidding? Troma releases TONS of horrible movies. I love B movies myself but you have to admit that Troma has a lot of sub (sub, sub, sub, sub) B stuff.

Yeah but this movie was unwatchable, even for Troma.

I think any attempt of sci fi channel's original "horror" movies are the worst

Loved Darko - good flick. Hated Maximum Overdrive and Judgement Night, no fan of Blair Witch, either.

Dominion by Todd Sheets. Also Igby Goes Down. I think movies should have an "oppressive banality" warning.

Agreed. Mr. Garrison (South Park) said it best:

"Ugh I hated that movie...waited all the way to the end to see the alien and it was her god damned father."

The movie was just so up its own ass with whatever message it was supposed to have (my mom thinks it has some sort of religious significance, odd since its based off a book written by Carl Sagan, a well-known atheist), that its tough to get through.

Matthew McCoughnahey is the biggest tool ever.
