How about telling one of your captives to dig the hole FOR you, promising him/her that you'll spare their life if they dig.

I'm afraid to take the challenge.

Granted, I have a strong constitution, but I dunno if I could take the wall of bodies, coupled with the dead body ditch and the torture chamber.
