well, not had chance to post my latest movie viewings so here goes...

cinderella Man

I throughly enjoyed this. I really really like Russell Crowe, ever since the wonderful Romper Stomper his performances generally have been outstanding. This was no exception. Throughly enjoyable film, not sure what the critics made of it but I am giving it a whopping...

8/10

Millers Crossing

I was fascinated by this movie from start to finish. Not just a gangster flick but alot lot more. I wont go into details in order not to spoil it but it's well worth a watch.

7/10

The Mummy Returns

After watching the Mummy years after everyone had seen it I picked this film up on the cheap knowing what to expect and it did not disapoint in that sense. I didn't think it was quite as good as the mummy but good fun afternoon viewing all the same.

6.5/10

The Intruder

After watching these I needed some good slasher relief! This one is a true classic - the typical deranged bad guy with a slight whodunnit (which as normal with slashers isn't too hard to to figure out). Has some brutal killings (I have the unrated version but according to my friends who have seen other releases - this version kicks ass) - I thoroughly enjoyed this little gem.

8/10

Guess Who

well, I didn't expect much from this film and to be honest it delivered in parts. Yes, there were funny moments but when the film runs for ver 1hr40mins and it's a comedy of this kind then you need a bit more of a happy ending etc. There are some cringe-worthy moments (note; the black jokes at the table) which make for uneasy laughs/viewing but I can't help but feel they really could have made more of this film than they did. Oh well...

5.5/10

Wolf Creek

I know this film has been getting a savaging on here lately so maybe that is why I am going to sway from the overall horror.com opinion and say 'hell - I liked this movie'. I wasn't expecting much (after reading the many poor reviews)and what I got was a down right dirty horror movie. It was extrememly slow at the beginning but when it did finally get into it I definetely enjoyed the mid/latter part of the film.

7.5/10

That might've been your little fantasy dude but the movie was perfectly fine without it.

it was pretty bad.

That's it. I don't put that on Jack either, should've faded out on top of the building imo. It just wasn't needed.

Thelma & Louise

Kalifornia
True Romance

Legends of the Fall
Se7en
12 Monkeys
Sleepers
Fight Club
Snatch
The Mexican
Spy Game
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Troy
Oceans 11
Oceans 12
Mr & Mrs. Smith

He's also made tv appearances on 'Freddy's Nightmares', Takes from the Crypt, Growing Pains & King of the Hill.

Plus, he's got all these movies coming out in the next couple years that sound cool too.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Oceans 13
Dallas Buyers Club
Chad Schmidt

That's a pretty impressive resume. How can you not typically like him? I think he generally picks awesome movies.

Perhaps it can be blamed on the fact that I havent seen him in alot of movies. I enjoyed Ocean's 11, but I think his character could have been alot better. I didnt enjoy 12 Monkeys at all; I got interupted half-way through watching it, and I never bothered to finish it. It just wasnt enjoyable, and Pitt's character really got on my nerves. He was just a mess in Troy, pure eye-candy. He was as wooden as the damn horse. I'll admit that he was great in Se7en, but until Spy Game that was the only movie I liked him in. There's a few movies on your list that Ive been wanting to see, such as Fight Club and Kalifornia, so I guess I'll have to get around to renting those.

If you want a testament to his talent as an actor, definately pick up Kalifornia. His performance in that was just mindblowing, partially because it was just so different then what we're used to seeing him do.

Night of Bloody Horror

Well, I've been watching one of those low budget horror 4-pack DVDs from the 70s in between Netflix mailings and so far I'm 0 for 2. This movie was a stinker. Gore was minimal, plot completely predictable. The editing was horrible and the lighting varied greatly from shot to shot within the same scenes. There was a minimal amount of decent acting, but also a fair share of terrible over-dubbing. All in all a really, really bad film. And not in a 'good' bad sort of a way that's enjoyable either, but in the 'bad' bad kind of way that is just dumb and you wish it would end.

Don't waste your time on this one.
