it has a metal frame that you screw to the wall .. it has snaps on it and the screen snaps to the frame ... so you need a dedicated wall .. and that has to be about 6' X 10'
they got rid of it at work .. the thing's worth a fortune - really great material ... but i'll never be able to use it ..

i have an 8' pull-down .. got it for free when the place i work upgraded to an automatic model ..

by the way .. the great race - disk 2 - was in the machine when the laserdisc player i just spent $400 on died.

i'll extract it and switch to a working player ..

i'm not happy.. :(
6 X 10 is a bit too much....sucks about your new machine...its still under the warranty i imagine.

the great race......DAMN........don't hold it against me;)

its not under warrenty but it was just professionally fixed for the same problem so it's getting fixed again for free ,,,

it'll be interesting to see if you notice a difference in quality between the 1st disc and the 2nd ..

the fixed wall bit sucks too ... it's better to get a pull-down - that way you still have the wall to put stuff ...

the screen was custom built for the place i worked - they had a few of them on a huge wall where work related info was projected.

you should have seen the projectors .. they were the size of jet skis - i'm not kidding. i could have gotten one of those too but where the hell was i going to put it ? it would have torn down the ceiling ..

I plan on getting a pull down. Just gonna use it for concerts and movies. I still have a fine 36 inch Sony Wega for T.V.

Not to mention the other 5 T.V.s scattered around the house.

one thing to consider ... although it may not matter to you ..

is that my screen pulls down in front of all of my audio-visual stuff .. so it blocks my remote ..

dont know if you'll be in the same position but it's something to consider

screw that ... imagine getting the bastard home (with the help of 4 - 5 friends) and the thing doesnt work, or lasts for 2 weeks ..

i wasnt kidding - i could sit on it like a snow mobile..

it was the same model they used to use in arenas to project stuff before they had those giant tv screens (or composite screens)

i know it's sacrelidge to say here - but i hate popcorn..

re the screen - until you can get the exact one you want ..

i used to use the back of an old school map ..

if you know someone who teaches or works in a school - ask around ... sometimes they change these things out and just dump them ..

Actuall, my son works at a Blockbuster Video store and he gets some BIG ASS posters. I was thinking of using the back of one of these until i get a proper screen.

not too big on popcorn myself.....it gets stuck in the back of my throat....very annoying....more of a peanut kinda guy.
