there was a nice special edition released here a few years ago ...
it comes in a wooden box .. i still see it around every now and then ..

I have an "extended version" which I believe is from the UK. It's 99m long, and apparently the "order of the film is corrected" and some additional footage from before the flight is added that "adds a lot to the story". 11 minutes longer then the standard version?

Sadly, it seems these scenes are restored from a VHS and thus, the quality is very poor.

The above picture is of The Complete Exorcist Anthology.
It contains 6 discs:
  • The Exorcist
  • The Exorcist: The Version You've Never seen (2000 re-release)
  • Exorcist 2: The Heretic
  • Exorcist III
  • Exorcist: The Beginning
  • Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist

Pretty badass...

They'll also be doing anthologies of: The Omen Series (including the 2006 remake) and The Fly: The two older films and the two remakes.

they already have done a 7 disc fly boxset of the three original films and the 2 recent ones

Yeah, but that's a region 2. It'll be nice to have a region 1 release.

Or you could just shell out $15 and get the double sided releases out now...each one is around $7 (Canadian, so less for you) and have 2 films. Not much in the way of features, but if you're looking for the films its the way to go.
