I got some leather gloves, a necktie, Don Quixote in hardback, a shotgun, a book about Abraham Lincoln, and socks. Always the socks.

With the money I got just bought some boots and Shaun of the Dead on DVD. I'm probably the only one here who's never seen it before, and I'm going to go do that right now.

Yes! PIRATE TOYS! They are much like army men but a million times more cool. One set came with a ship and the other came with a bunch of other awesome stuff.

And I will take a picture of the tattoo as soon as I get it done. It is paid for and drawn up, I just need to get an appointment.

Yay! I got a new computer for Christmas! Now I can play all those games Vod is always creaming about. I got Doom 3, and it runs smooth as silk on my new machine. I have to say, I love the game. Nothing to criticize about it just yet. Although, I have yet to experience anything truly horrifying in it.

I also got a copy of a board game called "Zombies!" Has anyone heard of this? You basically roll dice, lay out map pieces of the city, and try to move your character to the helipad to escape the zombie hoards (and there are many. It came with 100 plastic zombies). I have yet to play it, but it looks fun.

Also: I got a copy of the film "Gozu". I picked it up because it was directed by Takashi Miike (of "Audition" fame). I have to yet to watch it.

Another film I got (which I have yet to watch): "Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter" This film looks like it will be hilarious, but my wife does not want me watching it without her. Here's the blurb from the back of the DVD case:

"The second coming is upon and Jesus has returned to Earth. But before he can get down to the serious business of judging the living and the dead, he has to contend with an army of vampires that can walk in the daylight.
Combining Kung-Fu action with Biblical prophecy and a liberal dose of humour, the film teams the Savior with Mexican wrestling hero El Santos against mythological horrors and science gone mad, and also manages to address contemporary sexual politics. And did we mention that it's a musical?
This sure ain't Sunday school."

I am looking forward to laughing my ass off at this film. Found it at Borders in the "Cult Classics" section.

Anyway, that's the rundown of horror-related Christmas gifts I have received.

funny as hell actually .. ultra low budget but still a blast.
I have a rip of this and I've been waiting for someone to mention it. I believe it is a Canadian film ... from Ottawa or nearby area ..
I'm from the area and never heard a thing about it until i found a copy.. which figures.

Congrats on finding it .. i'd love to find a copy on DVD myself !
