Never really liked Disturbed. Black Dahlia Murder has got some talent. And sometimes metal does sound the same.......if you refer to metal as the crap on MTV :rolleyes:

I don't like any kinda "g" rap....it just makes me laugh when I think about those guys ever running into some REAL "g's", thinking about what would happen....
It's pretentious bullshit, and glamourises/endorses the whole criminal and violence bit...yet I bet most of the performers only ever stole a pack o' gum at the most....then they get their beefs and go shooting eachother up, or just saying they're gonna - stupid, irresponsible behaviour. I hate it when people say they hate all rap on the assumption that ^THIS^ is all there is.... I don't mind all rap, I get into stuff like Nas K.R.S.O.N.E - Gotta love that name Beastie boys twiztid - Crazy "interesting" stories, but nobody's callin' it REAL Method man/Redman Busta Rhymes Kool Keith - This guys like some kinda crazy eclectic poet... Y'know, stuff that's either got a "message", good beats, stuff that's funny/strange/creative, and/or not supposed to be taken really seriously...I appreciate the abovementioned because they DON'T generally endorse any kinda racial hatred, violence, or crime. There's probably more, but those come to mind when I think about rappers that aren't just out to further perpetuate bad stereotypes... Short answer, No, I don't hate rap...just SOME rap. A lot of people posting in here seem to be into only very narrow categories of music...I like ALL music styles m'self, and don't immediately make general judgements - I listen first. i like thinking mans rap .. the old school jazzy kind :
Jungle Brothers Tribe.. Black Sheep De La Soul Digible Planets Fugees (and solo projects) people who put music and thought into their tunes and realize that there is more to the african american human condition other than 'bling bling' 'bitches & hos' and getting respect from the business end of a 45. The real old school .. Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC .. even NWA and Public Enemy ... When they started out the music was fresh, powerful and origional .. But since then it has devolved and is sitting in the deepest possible rut of boring obnoxious shit.
