Just got back from seeing it. Waste of $8.50, a real yawner. Slow and predictable.....you knew what was going to happen before it happened. All the scenes that were suppose to be scary everyone in the audience was laughing out loud, and after the final scene and the credits started to roll the entire theatre let out a "Oh come on, that's it???????"

There was one scene that reminded me of the 2 weeks I spent last year in Shanghai, China. In the grocery store trying to figure out what the hell stuff was and how much it cost....lol.
Also thought the Japanese Detective's throw back Columbo style trenchcoat was funny!

Anyway, that's my opinion. I guess what some find scary others find lame.....just another disappointment......holding out hope for SAW......:(

Hey for all those in the UK and who have sky. The Sci Fi Channel are have a "Do you have a Grudge" weekend on the first week of November (I think it's the 4th or somethng). They are showing the original Japanese films for The Grudge and "for the first time on British TV' they are showing the Ringu trilogy. My husband hates horror films but I'm hijacking the TV for that weekend I can't wait!

I saw it. My take? The story caught my attention. I loved the idea of being killed under extreme circumstances or what have it and a curse is born in place of death driving the victim to seek revenge. I just think it could have been told a little better. I'm not dissapointed though. I liked how it came out and It hit all the right nerves. I havn't been creeped out like that in a while. Hated the ending though. The website is good too.

I take it you're talking about the Gellar one yeah?? if so, I dont know....aint seen it yet.

If you're on about the proper Grudges, then yeah I did like them, I found the sequals (grudge 2 & curse 2) to be much more creepy than their previous. counteparts.

I also have only seen the original version and I did indeed enjoy that. My daughter and son-inlaw just saw the new one and they both liked it.
