The Weather Man

I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is... The trailer was so vague that I didn't have any idea what the movie was about aside from Nicolas Cage playing a weather guy that gets things thrown at him...

But it's really about his relationships with family members... The acting is great and the movie is very funny when it tries to be. There's a lot of narration of his action and thoughts and they are very well scripted. I recommend it to someone looking for a good drama/comedy combo.

The new Pride and Prejudice. Now I feel bad that I didn't read the book first. Geez, I hate being a book worm! I'm watching the older, 5-hour long version tomorrow...

Steve-0: Out on Bail.

Not as laugh-out-loud funny as Jackass, but more disgusting - the scene in PCP Saved My Life where his pal shits on him when he is asleep (and his hilarious botched reaction to this) is one of the crudest ever.

Kids in America

A funny and even inspiring high school comedy. Loved the story of how the kids were rebelling against the schoolboard for dumb suspensions (in which I agreed with the students) and I hated Principal Weller. They should've chopped off her head and put it in a museum for display. Sure, I would've kept Nicole Richie out of teh cast, but she didn't appear to much to bother me. FACTOID: This was inspired by a true story (not my review, the movie).

4 out of 5 stars

Empire of the Ants

A good, campy, silly 70's movie based on and H.G. Wells story. It's about giant mutated ants attacking a tour group. I was surprised as to how good the ants looked. Id din't think it was possible back then since we don't have this CGI shit! And this, is a good thing! Not the best watch, but a good, fun fucking ride!

3 out of 5 stars.

Scream 2

I watched this a year and a half ago on AMC and wasn't much of a fan of it. I re-viewed it because I thought that since it was on TV, it was trimmed down and that's why I didn't like it. But, I was wrong. Besides the F bombs, AMC aired it in its originality. But, this time around, I hated it even more! The plot was horrendous (must've went through a lot of re-writes) and killing off Sarah Michelle Gellar quickly was a shitty idea since she played Buffy at the same time. She can kick Vampire ass, but she can't even put up a fight against a dumbass in a mask. Pathetic! And, don't get me started on that "Top Gun" sing-a-long bullshit! My dick can sing better than that (It's hit single is "I'll Cum for You). The worst of the trilogy!

1 out of 5 stars

The Hills Have Eyes 2006

I couldnt be happier to see no other than Alexander Aja do this film. I thought he did an amzing job on Haute Tension. The Hills Have Eyes blew my mind as a remake. It kept much of the same plot as the original. Probobly one of the most violent R-Rated films ive seen in a long time. I dont know how this sick puppy slipped past the mpaa. THHE was highly entertaining all the way through, and deffinatly showed no mercy. I highly reccomend this remake.

4.5/5
