frankly i couldnt give a shit about anything i post. i couldt care less if a mod deleted it just because they didnt like it.

if any of it was that profound then i'd be copying it to a text file and getting it published.

so far - Pr3ssur3 is the only person who's ever been on this forum who has actually written at THAT level and even he didnt care ...
Authority should always be questioned, even when they're doing a "good job". I wouldn't lose sleep over something of mine being deleted as most of the stuff I post here is trivial BS anyway. That said, I would still ask why it was deleted, even if I didn't expect an answer.

This is forum owned by one person, that person can do whatever he/she feels and those appointed to a position of power by said entity are granted similar privileges. Just remember that there isn't a good IP banning system and no matter how many people you piss off, you can always come back and continue to annoy people.

i've made a lifetime habit of questioning authority - when i think its abused.
and when it's over something important.

for me - this just isnt the place ... i think it runs pretty hands free anyway.

i guess (and no one likes to hear it) i just dont care enough about an internet forum to the point where ....where authority is even an issue - i dont see it.

authority is my boss, upper management, our CEO, my wife...
in school it was my teachers --or any kid big enough to hurt me.

i dont get the concept of authority here .... mods are just folks people trusted to see that a few rules that are already in place are followed. for the most part its just deleting spam.

if someone 'oversteps their bounds' here - i really dont care.

it doesnt touch my health, my wallet, or anything in my reality for that matter.

its not like i even care if i get banned - obviously :)

i just conduct myself in a manner where it wouldnt happen .. but if it did ...

meh...

i'm not saying others are like that or should be .. it's just where i'm personally coming from ...

nothing to lose sleep over as far as i'm concerned.

and if you are losing sleep over this ... here ... got something for you :

I understand how you can look at it this way, but I couldn't ever see the forum that way myself.

This place doesn't dominate my life, I don't constantly think about it, but just because something isn't got published doesn't mean it didn't have value. Whether it's a pretty deep conversation or a post you may have put a lot of time into, i.e - something in the Battle Royale, or HDC Idol, if someone came along and just said to themselves "This is pointless" and deleted it forever, it gets on my nerves.

So what if you don't make money over it, putting any time into anything shows you care enough about it for one reason or another to spend a part of the small amount of time on this world to doing it.

I know this may not be my place to say anything, being a relatively new noobie, but here goes nothing......

I have been reading this thread and the 'Talk to the Moderation' thread for some time now, and I believe that what was done was the right thing to do. Now before somebody jumps my ass for saying this, let me elaborate a bit. The said 'deleted' thread did advertise a site indulging in piracy, streaming or downloading. I have been in other forums where such threads disappear as soon as they are made, without even an ounce of explanation offered. Of course, members cry foul and make a lot of hue and cry about freedom of speech and whatnots, but deep in their hearts they know exactly what they had posted and why it was deleted. The mods here are polite enough to come forward and explain their reasons at least, whereas in other forums they don't even bother - any sort of question results in a further warning. I would say the mods here are pretty straightforward, no-nonsense, down-to-earth people who are doing their best to keep this place hassle-free. As a member it is easy to log in, post a few here and there and log off back to normal lives or other forums whatever, but for a mod it is not an easy walk in the park once they have logged into a forum they are in-charge of. Not to mention all of them must have their own busy lives from which they are investing time and money to keep a watch over this place, bound by a sense of duty and loyalty. As a member in this forum, I empathise with all of them. The fact that the owner is never around to run this place smoothly, as I have read in several older threads, makes their presence in the forum all the more valuable.

My two cents for all it's worth............

Oh, I know, I know. But, it seemed like an okay slogan. It did say Britkid but when I redid the font I forgot to add that. 1 sec.
