that is the problem with our court system, innocent people get convicted, on occasion, and guilty are set free, on occasion. do we have no punishments on th eoff chance that someone didnt do it? better to err on the side of caution, maybe?

Has anyone close to you ever been molested or raped? get to know someone. It makes you calous to those kind sof people real quick. there is no second chance for the victim. their life is ruined, they have to live with someone else's mistake. there is no forgiveness for that, the harm is forever.

if they fuck up once with one person, they have ruined one life. if they are given a "second chance" and they fuck up again, thats two. so do they get the opportunity to fuck up at least 2 lives before they are punished? why not 3 chances? or 4?

i do think that there should be a cap on exactly how many chances you get (i.e. 2 chances) and then yeah, you're basically fucked, but not to death, to an asylum or something, the only thing that warrants death is death

yeah, my sister was molested by well, none other then my uncle, which i guess is the REAL reason i fight so adamantly for it... and he's fine, he doesn't do anything like that nor would he ever if he wasn't piss drunk at the time, my sister tho, still doesn't talk to him, but she's fine too, she's completing college next year in business... so yeah, i do...

Wow, drunk. Nice excuse. No offense, but if i knew someone like that and he even glanced at my kid, i would warn him. next glance would get him a trip in an ambulance.

I feel sorry for the ones that are falsely accused and falsely convicted. And I am often very peeved by the police procedures that lead to these kinds of convictions....but they are in the minority. And while I want to believe that everyone deserves a second chance, I wouldn't dare put any child's life on the line to give that person that second chance. Look at the sheer number of repeat offenders and how their crimes actually worsen. The number that go in for rape and get out a few years later and start actually killing. It is frightening. And lots of times it could have been prevented.

But again, I see where you are coming from....to a point. Some people do make mistakes and then can change. I just wouldn't want to risk anyone I loved by betting on that.

I dont believ that they do reform. in every case i have read about the guys who were serial pedophiles or went on to kill to cover their tracks, they all "reformed" at some point. that was usually when the really disgusting shit started.


I look at the bad with this because there is no good in it.
