Yeah, the original Doom is the best game ever. Also, American McGee's Alice is superb. Turn the sound up and lights off and get into it. Clive Barker's Undying is pretty great, and I really like Sierra's Phantasmagoria. The orignal Quake was good too.

good taste :)
The original quake was actually a beautiful game in a dark way. The second was great,but i didnt like that they deviated from the original plot. i thinkit was "quake 2" because id sucks at coming up with new names. They have made wolfenstein, doom and quake. Need a new game? grab an old name, attach a number, rinse, repeat. Duke was one of the greatest games ever. It had more pop culture references than Quentin tarantino could dream of. I had the Plutonium pack, which had as many references as the original game, in one set of levels. "Shake it baby!" LOved that game...
