"Slumber Party Massacre" is a pretty cool low budget film. :)

I bought "Evil Dead 1 & 2" unrated. Part 2 is okay, but nothing can touch Raimi's first one. :) The best kill scene is that unholy wailing from Demon Sheryl when that sacrificial dagger was shoved in her back and twitchin around spurtin all that red and white goo from her mouth and wounds. :) 'Got milk?' :D

the dubbing would have damaged the effect somewhat as the voicework was pretty good (especially the wolf and the frog)

the singing goat was a highlight ..

Night of the Living Dead (Savini remake)
I just watched that again too - it's not terribly gory, which might be surprising considering the capabilities of the director (perhaps he had his hands full - someone else did the FX).

But this turns out to be the film's virtue - comparing it with Land of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead remake and the other contemporary zombie movies, this one is impressively restrained and retains Romero's dark, depressing vision with some nice twists of its own (from his own new script, of course).

Buncha yo-yos.

yeah... it wasnt until they started to show the little bit of gore at the end that i first noticed it's absence (due to my interest in the characters)

I thought the whole cast was solid and Tony Todd did a fine job ..
Notice how big that guy is .. his head almost touches the doorframe ..
I met him in the summer and the 1st thing i said was .. "jesus christ how big are your shoes" :D size 15s ... they looked like snowshoes

i was suprised to see Bill Mosley playing Barbras brother ...

one of my favorite remakes ..

Sadly one of the last capable of being self-referential without needing to be so self-satisfied.

Who's Bill Mosley again?
