Four good actors in two bad movies... Hoffman and Beatty in Ishtar; and Nicholson and Meryl Streep in Ironweed. When a dark, cold and depressing movie is also bad... it's really a bad time.
Nich and Streep both got best actor nominations for it. Interesting too, they were both 1987. Last edited by Sculpt; 04-06-2013 at 10:57 PM. |

I was a big fan of Terminator and T2. I was disappointed in both Rise of the Machines and T Salvation. Both were pretty forgettable. But I had a little fun watching ROTM, which actually had some thrills on the big screen; whereas on the small screen, it losses a lot (like Cloverfield does). T Salvation did take itself seriously, which I liked. Some cool special effects, but was mostly fairly bla; plus I remember the ending really pissed me off.
