Wow- great stuff! Those anthologies look really great. I'm sure I used to have the Cthulhu one.

Yes there are some really good stories in the Anthologies. Satellite is a tad slow tonight, so I ll put up some more pics of the Anthologies' contents tomorrow.

My instant favorite is the Reader's Digest: Great Stories of Mystery of Suspense, Volume II (the third row pic, standing hardcover book beside Mysterious Knoxville). It has some of the most fantastic novels which I had been searching for a long time.

Wish come true. I am starting on it tonight. :)

Uh- make sure it's not one of their "condensed books" - where they reduce the word count to fit more books into one volume. Believe it or not, this was a very popular activity for them at one point.

:(

As soon as I saw your reply, I grabbed the book and...damn! There it was, in the second page itself, one small line "condensed by Reader's Digest Authors"!

Funny though, the other RD's Hardcover Anthology volume (Great True Stories of Crime, Mystery and Detection) isn't a condensed version of the stories within it. Neither is the Doubleday Hardcover one.

Grrrr!

Aww, I'm so glad that you guys liked your boxes :)

I'm a little concerned about Ferret's now, but hopefully he will get it soon

@Avi: I was afraid your storms would delay your box, so I am relieved that you received it...I was also afraid that I might have filled out the customs forms incorrectly, so now I'm not as worried about Roshiq's...*whew* That's a relief, too...I can't believe you posted pictures...lol...OH, and I didn't know about the condensed thing either, I mean I never really paid attention :/

Oh...AND...Your package is now officially the FIRST package that I have successfully shipped outside of the United States...WOOHOO! :D

Ferret's and Roshiq's are now in a race for second place ...lol

***UPDATE***

Tomorrow, around 3pm EST, I will have sent out all of the boxes that I have remaining addresses for...Soooo, I need more addresses, if anyone wants some books.

@Hammerfan: I don't have your address anymore, it's been YEARS ...So, I can send out your apple tea on Saturday if you send me your address.

@Crabapple: I plan to send you something (I can add books, if you like), but I need to know if your address is still the same as what was written on the last thing you sent me...If it has changed, please send me your new one.

You guys have NO idea how much fun I'm having with this! :D

Almost forgot: Avi, did you see the book that says, "AVI" on it?...lol

Thanks for thinking of me, Rayne!! So nice and thoughtful of you. Address is still the same. You don't have to put books in the box, though--I have too many books right now! Many, many of them. Send some zombies and vampires instead though!

Best wishes...

How did I miss all the updates in this thread? No word of a package for me JUST yet, but Royal Mail is notorious for being useless. Hopefully it'll come some time in the week :)

Those hauls look FANTASTIC though!

I am really glad the postal service was still working through it all. And I got your forms with me. Very much complete and in order!

I really love all the books you sent me, plus I wanted to post them here for others. Felt lazy about making a long list, so the pics.

Not your fault. Damn Reader's Digest people!

At least I got an edition of those books though, even though they are condensed. I didn't own any of them before that day.

Yes. I had absolutely no idea there existed an author called Avi, before I got that book.

Finished the Poe book in two nights flat. Started on the 21 Short Stories last night. :)
