Many people consider part 2 to be superior to the original. Myself included.

Can't say I agree, but if that's the way the votes go, so be it.

Anyone else going to make an effort?

BTW, I've watched a few pretty good movies I've never heard of from this era now. Anyone else taking the opportunity to do so?

Looking over The Flayed One's list of all the films made in this time period, I noticed Chow lok yuen (The Park). I can't believe I forgot about this movie! My husband and I saw it at the 2004 Sundance film festival.

As we entered the theater, we were given 3-D glasses, a little plastic canister of fake blood, and a clown candle. Then they announced that the director had to leave the festival early and wasn't in attendance that night. As the movie progressed and the laughter from the audience grew louder with each passing moment, I realized that the director probably fled the festival in shame. I don't know if the film was quite as awful as the audience seemed to think, but it was pretty bad; I won't even discuss how painfully bad the "3-D" was.

That was probably the highlight of our trip to Sundance.

I will almost certainly do this once the list is finished. If it makes the Top 100 and I haven't seen it, then I will probably check it out. I did this with the Official and Underappreciated HDC lists and found a couple of gems including 'Dagon'. Never would have thought to watch it otherwise.:)
