Action movies of the 80s, I really dug those mindless blam! blam! blam! stuff...like Chuck Norris's Invasion USA. :D

Then there was cheesy romantic comedies like The Love Bug...I remember the fuzzy wuzzy stuff in that movie.

And I know people ll jump my butt if I name this one, but I really liked Alien vs Predator. As much as everyone hates that movie, I like it, esp cuz I m a big fan of both franchises. The pacing and the plot sucked, but I really dig the action-sequences...

Urge, dont be disappointed in me now :(

Well, liking the action in AVP isn't quite enough to get him to bugger you...

But it nearly is.

;)

for urge :-

:p

seriously though, what did you think of AvP? After all the hype, the studio did have the last say in the movie. Instead of a gore-filled Rated-R flick, we had a nice comic-book tale for kids. And to think they had given Alien AND Predator higher Ratings than AvP.

I must be the only one who hasn't seen it, and by the sounds of things I am right not to dirty my eyes.

Heavy CGI and RoboCop 3-style diluting of formally violent and blood-drenched characters?

Shudder.

yeah .. i have to say that i wasnt a fan of AVP .. and this is coming from someone who liked alien 4 ...

i thought it did a disservice to both franchises.

its not so much what it was that was - but what it coul have been.
it was a wasted opportunity - not menacing or dark enough ...

i really didnt understand the choice of the sub arctic location .. i thought Hendrikson was wasted ...

just a lukewarm effort for something that could have been pretty cool.

Did I hear suggestions that Alien Resurrection might not be appreciated in some quarters?
