My list would've been perfect if I hadn't taken a shot on that new musical. I thought it was going to do well.

For the first time, we have a tie for first place so our tiebreaker will come in to effect. This week's winner will be whoever guessed closest to the total box office gross for X-Men 3....

Gorephobia guessed..... 64 million

bwind22 guessed.... 71 million

....and the winner, for the second week in a row, making him/her our first repeat champion....

____V_____ guessed ..... 74 million!

Well done V!

Will V's reign at the top continue or will we see a new champion?

Week 4

Week 4 answers can be submitted any time starting now until mid-day Friday, June 2.

The only new release this week getting any sort of wide release is The Break Up with Vince Vaughn & Jennifer Aniston.

Good luck in trying to dethrone V in week 4 to everyone!

Didn't Spiderman do 114? Or did it open Wednesday/Thursday?

You're right. I mis-read the article I was looking at. It shattered Memorial weekend records, but actually came in 4th all time behind Spiderman, Star Wars III & Shrek 2.

My bad.

The majority of movie goers aren't worrying about directors unless it's Tarantino, Speilberg ect. Which are frequently mentioned throughout the promtion of the film anyway.

yes thats true, plus the overwhelming sense of curiosity linked with the whole "what happened to Jean Grey?", also the big name franchise, big stars, two previous blockbusters, final chapter of the trilogy etc.

But still, the way in which Singer revived the comic-to-movie adaptation after Batman and Robin did have a big influence. I have to say X-Men was an awesome adaptation. Although X2 is my fav out of the 3.
