SHOCKING NEWS!!!


***(BATTLE ROYALE II SPYCAM #47 FOOTAGE - 1823 HRS TO 1907 HRS)***

The evening comes about as real gloomy in the Assassins' compound. Dude is consoling Paul, who cannot stop his tears. After all, he was the one who had pulled Return out of the jaws of certain death by his valiant act. MissMacabre sits in another corner, stunned. Fortunato is by her side.

Just then, the loud buzz signalling dinner resounds through the compound. Fortunato gets up and goes inside to call Despare and Roshiq, who are guarding Flayed.

"Uhh...dinner bell has rung."

"You know I cant move from here," Despare says. "Bring something back for me."

Roshiq looks at Flayed.

"Would you want something too?"

"No, thanks. I dont feel hungry," Flayed replies morosely with a deep sigh.

"Guys, I really dont think they would try this stunt again. I mean, they got Return. Thats their achievement for this Challenge," Fortunato surmises thoughtfully.

"We still cant take the risk," Despare replies."Take Roshiq with you. He hasnt eaten anything since yesterday."

"B...But Despare...?!" Roshiq starts to protest.

"Its ok," Despare replies. "I am pretty good at handling anything that moves. Flayed will be safe," he promises grimly, more to himself than to the other two.

Roshiq takes a good, long look at Despare, and turns to Flayed. Despite his body wracking in pain, Flayed manages a feeble grin and winks back.

"Don't worry, my Asian friend," he says in a low voice."Despare is damn good. Have your dinner, and hurry back."

Roshiq and Fortunato leave together. Flayed lifts a hand weakly towards Despare, who gently slaps his open palm with Flayed's. ^5s my friend, both of them think.

About 8 minutes pass.

Flayed has dozed off into another of those drug-induced slumbers. Despare is on the alert, looking around. Suddenly, something comes flying from the right and hits Despare squarely on the right side of his temple. Startled by the blow and the impact, Despare reels and turns around, feeling dizzy. Someone else creeps behind him as he is reeling, and whacks him from behind.

THWUMP!!

Despare crumbles to the floor, unconscious. All the shuffling of feet has woken up Flayed, who tries to get up but cant because of the severe pain which shoot through his body like lightning bolts. Two shadows, one from the left and one from behind Despare, move forward to Flayed's bunker. Flayed looks at both of them, terrified. One of them clamps a hand over his mouth, but Flayed wrestles free from the grip and spits.

"You call yourselves warriors, damn pussies?!" he roars, before the hand comes back to clamp his mouth shut.

The other shadow takes a knife out and plunges it deep into Flayed's chest, rotating it slowly and then stretching it across, piercing the heart and both lungs in one go. Blood rushes out in torrents, and Flayed hiccups once and coughs, clutching his chest desperately. Just then footfalls sound on the other side of the room, and both shadows make a hasty exit towards the right.

Another shadow enters from the left, holding a silenced pistol in one hand. Flayed has turned to one side, groaning. The death throes rock his body. The shadow doesnt see or know what has happened to Flayed just now, as his back is towards it. The shadow aims at Flayed's head from behind, and pulls the trigger.

THUD!!

The bullet pierces Flayed's head and flies out of the center of his nose. Flayed's eyes widen for a brief moment, as his hands drop from his chest. His mouth is open, as if ready to yell, as his eyes start slowly glazing over.

Despare moans audibly, and the shadow is startled. It turns around quickly, and disappears from sight. Despare gets up, rubbing the back of his head vigorously. Just then, he notices the blood on the floor.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! FLAYEDDDDDDDDDDD!!" he cries out.



ASSASSIN THE FLAYED ONE IS DEAD!!!!!

Sorry, Assassins. You have lost a very worthy team member. Deepest condolences and sympathies again.

"These are a set of rather unexpected turn of events, apprentice," the mighty IT said.

"Yes, my Lord, indeed they are."

"But the hunt must go on as scheduled."

"No buts. I don't want to hear anything. The Zone's rules will NOT be changed because of some contestants' unwarriorly conducts!"

"Okay, my Lord. As you wish."

"I leave you to do the arrangements. Whatever may be the outcome of the results of the Challenge, the Hunting Season MUST be followed according to Battle Royale II's Hunting rules...be mindful. This was the precise reason why I did NOT approve of the new rule for secret weapons in Battle Royale II. But you had to have the final say in that too."

"Sorry, my Lord. Have faith in me this time. I will see what I can do."

"Good. You better. Because if you don't..."
