It was bad enough back in '92. IMO Grunge was the worst thing that ever happened to rock...PERIOD!

Weird Al got it right when he did his comic cover of "Smells like teen spirit." There was a line in it somewhere about Kurt sounding as if he had marbles in his mouth. Very true, to say the least. I have yet to figure out what people saw in that band. I can honestly say that EVERY single song of theirs which I listened to confused me. It's not as if anybody could understand what their songs were about. I sure as hell couldn't. Gee, maybe it was because I didn't do drugs?

lol I liked Weird Al's cover better to be honest. The thing I liked about "Smells like Teen Spirit" though, was the guitar rifts in it. I agree with you about Kurt Cobain's singing...It IS hard to understand him and in over half his songs, I don't know what the fuck he's saying...

SFF,

In Sydney, Australia (population 4.5 million) - we have one rock station. No rap, no metal. They play White Stripes, Jet, Nirvana and Evanescence's My Immortal to death.

Well, the only Nirvana song I kinda liked was "Come as you are." Not sure how to explain this, but it had a sexy sound to it, even though the lyrics didn't seem to go in that direction.

Hmmm Well, I pretty much like everything I have heard from the White Stripes, so far. The rest can go to hell.
