It's no accident that this looks a lot like NBC. I'm sure Burton himself liked that film and wanted to recapture some of the feel. He makes holiday movies for the rest of us. I liked Rudolph as a kid, but would have gone nuts for a good set of Halloween Specials instead of just "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and that Fat Albert Halloween cartoon.

tim burton does these little stopmotion animation films and he does it well. nightmare before christmas is my absolute favourite christmas eve movie. i watch it -every- year.
when i heard about corpse bride, i was expecting it to be some kind of sequel to nightmare, but it's not. doesn't matter. i've messed around with the main site and it looks very promising. johnny depp is overused but i doubt it will have any detrimental effect. this is going to be a lovely companion to nightmare for christmas eve! who else loved the film short, Vincent? :) there's also frankenweenie which i am saving for the right occasion...
