Holly Jesus!!! please foget about Dagon!!! That movie sucks. And of course , Return is the biggest Dagon's fan here. I still remember my first post talkin' about worst movies ever seen I dare to say that Dagon (in my opinion is a piece of shit) anyway if some of you loves Lovercraft boocks or just loves other autors like Poe, Bierce etc you must see this film.It was the last 'good film' from Carpenter (again in my opinion. I don't wanna fight, I'm a man of peace)

First off, it would need to be a short film, and secondly...holy crap! Maybe in 10 years when CGI is more advanced, but there is no chance they could make that landscape look convincing. Ive been very content with the adaptions that Ive seen thusfar, in fact I consider Dagon one of my favourite films of all time. Dont belive me? Check the sig;)
agreed- HPL is virtually unfilmable - adaptable, yes - but unfilmable

Thats true, I think that the only Lovecraft's story that can be easy adapted as film it's " Herbert West the reanimator" (I don't know if that's the original name, I've traslated it from spanish)

I liked Dagon. Thought it was one of Stuart Gordonīs better films.

No "the". It's just "Herbert West: Reanimator". Great story, made into a great movie. Sure, it wasnt faithful at all, but it was still a great movie.

Thanks, the problem is that in spanish it's Herbert West: el reanimador and I directly traslated to english. I have seen the movie, not bad, no so faithful but not bad and very funy (Is from the same diretor as Dagon. Is'nt It?)

He didnt actually direct either of the Re-Animator sequels, Brian Yuzna did. He's done a couple adaptions that havent been mentioned yet, Dreams in the Witch House for his spidode of Masters of Horror, and Castle Freak, which is credited as an adaption but Im not sure what it was adapting....
