Both the series have have good & bad films. Halloween went down from part 3 onwards, Exorcist II and the others after part III disappointed. Between the originals, and 2 good sequels, I would choose Exorcist.

This is tough. The Exorcist is the only movie that ever truly, deeply, psychologically scared me.

However, I define horror by the ethics of Carpenter's Halloween.

It's going to have to be Halloween for me, V.
