MOTEL HELL (1980). Pretty grim premise is lightened by extremely humorous turns by Rory Calhoun and Nancy Parsons. Decent little time capsule with 8 Tracks, HUSTLER magazine, two PLAYBOY Playmates and Wolfman Jack adding to the fun. ***

I watched Hide and Go Shriek last night. I still think it is one of the standout slashers from the 80's. It tried to do something a tad different with the slasher formula and some great tension and atmosphere was created with the furniture store location.

TOURIST TRAP (1979) Starts out pretty decent, then gets into TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE territory and quickly runs out of steam. The mannequins were quite creepy and Tanya Roberts! A missed opportunity, for Me at least. **
