spyware is a pain in the ass, but there are a ton of programs out there that will protect you against it, so no big worries there:
ad-aware Spybot Plus tons more.

Ad Aware, Spybot and Hijack This are the greatest tools ever invented for ridding your PC of spyware.
I'm gonna be getting an internet connection pretty soon at home, cable internet, should have very nice speeds (3MB + down 512k upload). I will be sharing my 7000+ mp3 collection on Direct Connect. Only trusted friends will be allowed.
