god i cant remember when some jock, prep or any other type of "popular" swore that its a true story. when they do and dont beleive me and i run through the ol ed gein story for them and they think im lieing and still swear (apon there mothers graves no less) the TMC actually happend. when ever this happens i just want to freakin beat them to a bloody pulp or have a massive fit ending in me stabbing myself a couple times.
*note: at the end of the credits in fargo it states that its not an actuall true story

the TCSM is based on Ed Gein's story, except he mainly dug up dead bodies and wore their skins as costumes (what a sicko) then the writers added in the chainsaw plot as a ploy. and then, ed gein was completely alone in his antics of sickness, there wasn't a whole family in on it. so once you add in that, the movie would never be considered to be based on "actual events".
Question: in the beginning, when the narrator says something like, "....it is all the more tragic that they are young, but had they lived very, very long lives, they could not have expected nor would they have wished to see as much of the mad and macabre as they were to see that day." what's w/ that? does that make sense to anyone?

The opening states it happened in 1973 which is the same year the movie CAME OUT:rolleyes: People don't read between the lines, and they hear what they want to hear....
