Since we've gone over to cartoons for a while...

A few questions for anyone who knows.

I don't think that TF Energon has even been shown here (aus), but I DID see armada, and thought it was pretty fucking lame 'n childish...what's the difference betwen that and energon? Both chronologically and in terms of characters..etc.

Also, how many series of transformers (including the japanese side-story kinda ones) has there been altogether?
Some series description would be cool.

I don't really NEED to know this, but anyone can answer if they wanna... throughout ALL of the series, how many "big robots made outta multiple transformers" robots were there altogether, and what did each one look like?

Another thing...I was reading up on the new-ish animated TMNT series, and came across something I only saw once or twice called "the next mutation", it looked something like the third movie did...I DO remember that series just about as much as I want to, but somewhere in tha back of my mind, I seem to recall a cartoon series that happened after the old series, but before the newest one. All I remember is that shredder was younger in it, and not always the bad-guy....I looked and looked and I just cannot find anything on this series on the net...does ANYONE remember anything remotely like it? Maybe it's just crazytalk...

Here you go Cheeba

1.Energon is AFTER armada and uses some of the same characters but they almost all get "remodeled" in Energon, it kicks ass btw, not that childish at all. EVERYONE hates armada, energon owns all over it..

2. well there is G1, and there are about 6-7 series of those, 1-3 made it over here, the rest (starting with headmasters/targetmasters) didnt.

Then there is beast wars (the cg animated ones from 96 or so) 3 series of these, then Beast machines 2 series after that.

Robots in Disguise is a animated series that happens somewhere during beastwars times but isnt related.

Then there is Armada (the worst of ALL TIME) which ends AND continues to Energon (which kicks ass)

3. Well there were multiiple Combiners (or Gestalts as they are commonly called online for some reason), throughout G1 Devestator being the first and most memorable (made the only combiner apperance in the movie)
other g1 combiners

Decepticons
-Menasaor (made of the stunticons)
-Devastator(made of the Constructicons)
-Abominus(made of the terrorcons)
-Predaking(made of the predicons, biggest, coolest, and most valuable of ALL gestalts...there is a set of all 5 going for $2k on EBAY right now....insane, but i digress)
Autobots
-Superion(made of the aerial bots)
-Computron(made of the technobots)
-Defensor(made of the protectobots)

Thats all i can think of right now, i know there are a COUPLE more in Rid, and G2 but not many, almost ALL of them are in G1

There are some combinations in Energon tho, but its between 2 autobots only, and they can switch up the order, kinda cool, but no where NEAR G1 cool....

You should check out Tfans.com or Seibertron.com and its boards if your really into TF's cheeba, or you just want to know more, but be WARY, you start feeding this addiction MAN its hard to stop.....

Thanks man....was there not a generation 2 show kinda like the first one?

what was Robots in Disguise all about?

"when" are energon and armade supposed to take place in relation to the original series?

I recall one autobot somewhere down the line (not the very first) really hated the constructicons, almost suicidally so...he was some kinda big "gaurdian of something" transformer...

I know the original megatron apparently made an appearance sometime during the beast wars series thru a message or something, any of the others from the original series?

When exactly did optimus die? did he come back for good when he did or what?

see, I only ever watched g1, and what I coulda sworm was called g2..
I think If ever I buy the figures,it'll be from ebay, and I aint gonna bother buying 'em boxed...well, maybe soundwave or any of the others with electrical components..but the boxed ones (usually in collections) are just too fucking much...
Seems an idea to maybe buy some action figures for 20 yrs down the line, huh?

Im currently downloading RiD so i dunno, i got scourge from that line coming in the mail to me (imagine an evil optimus prime) but i dont know what the show is like, have to get back to ya on that one...

Im assumning armada/energon are AFTER the originals, just since everything is pretty much after G1, no idea on the relation of them to beastwars or anything..

Your refering to OMEGA SUPREME that hated the contructicons, and boy does he, ya hes a big city transformer turns into a whole base and shit.....tank and rocket and some other things...big guy...

Yes megatron (g1 megs that is) appears in a message to SOMEONE:confused:in beast wars...but RAVAGE one of soundwaves cassettes (the black and gray jaguar) comes back from G1 and is involved in the end of season 2 in beastwars, he kinda looks a bit different, but he changes into a cassette again at the end....fucking classic...i think thats all the correlations, but ive only seen to the end of season 2 in beastwars so i dunno...

Optimus died in the movie, which makes it hardcore, then sense the series was weakening without him, was brought back at the end of season3 only to be killed off for good later again in season 4 lol...hes gone for good in G1, but hes always in other series, just like megatron....

well G2 is ALOT like G1, even cartoon wise, they have alot of the same toys, just recolored, and some new characters but not all...and inbetween scenes of the cartoon, there was this big metal box that switched the scenes, like a scene out of CUBE, something like that.....i watched a bit of G2 as well...
