Blair Witch Project Good shout with The Wicker Man. It's clearly the best of this sub genre. The Village is another good one! The Lost Boys?

Here are my favorites:
Salem's lot in it's various incarnations are a favorite of mine. Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat is a fun little movie. The Bothersome Man is a very spooky town with a secret movie. Sleepy Hollow (The one with Christina Ricci is my favorite.) I love this movie. Stepford Wives both the original and the remake, though the original is much, much spookier. Wolfhound, great little shapeshifter flick. The Wicker Man both the original and the remake, though the original have more style. The Island, great science fiction movie and while it is a facility they are at it is run as a town. Vampire’s Night Orgy, a great little movie about an abandoned town that proves to be full of vampires. Population 46, I loved it up until the ending, though that was disappointing.

The Island is an unofficial remake of a film called Parts The Clonus Horror which I think you might enjoy. It's cheesy, but fun. I still think there is a really good film to be made about this story.

I like the remake of the Wickerman, I enjoyed watching it, however I know allot of fans of the original was not to pleased with it. I however think it was fine.
The Demons of Ludlow is a horrible town with a secret movie, but it is sort of fun to. I just thought I mention it.
