I guess I could put them against The English Beat in a qualifier.
It must be done.

Then you let Sublime through...
Sublime wasn't just a ska band and you would only think that if you've heard a couple of their songs. Unlike regular "ska" bands Sublime fused hip hop, reggae, punk, and rock and has an extremely diverse catalog of songs. From their acoustic album to their dub style instrumentals, Sublime's a completely different ballgame.

But they do involve ska.

So fucking what? Elvis involved country but I wouldn't call him a country musician. Yes, Sublime may have started out doing more ska than other things I was just pointing out that they had a lot more depth. I don't care if they're just in the qualifier or not in the tournament at all, you can argue with me all you want, which is all you seem to do. I hope you're raped, killed, and disposed of in a back alley dumpster... preferably one with Sublime graffiti on it. :)

Ha! Fair enough.

I personally think of them more like a ska influenced punk band than a full on ska band (like the Bosstones or something). That's cool though, in or out. Either way, I don't really care. It's your tourney. ;)

They do have a bit of skunk to them, nothing like Op Ivy but I can hear it.
