I just watched Silent Night, Deadly Night for the first time last week. Not half bad. I still think the original Black Christmas is the best Christmas horror movie. :)

Definitely agreeing with you on this one. I think it was INCREDIBLY underrated and way before its time.

Nothing is as good as Black Christmas, but yeah....I watched Silent Night Deadly Night part 1 and 2 every year.

Part 2 is the "GARBAGE DAY!" one, which is basically Troll 2 level of badness...so it's really fun to watch them back to back.

Favorite part of part 1 has to be when he goes to see the Grandpa, though. That old coot cracks me up every year.

It's basically the brother of the killer in the first movie's story. He's in a mental institution and get's interviewed by a doctor about why he's in there.

But they end up recapping like 30-45 minutes worth of part 1's footage, so its barely a movi, but the footage they do add is just classic:

Definitely not a "good" movie, but nonetheless enjoyable. The actor seen above is easily one of the worst actors of all time.

Santa Claws sucked big time.

I did enjoy Santa's Slay a bit though. It is a bit lame but funny enough to make up for the cheesy parts.

I agree....oddly enough something about Bill Goldberg as Santa was just enough to make it a fun watch.

Mexican sub-genius René Cardona made a SANTA CLAUS in the late 50's - not really horror but it dod have the Devil in it.

His Son, also a schlock horror master, was probably most famous for the opus NIGHT OF THE BLOODY APES which from the still below had a definate Xmas theme :-)
