Seriously. You need to see a doctor Mothman, especially since it's being going on for two weeks and you have no appetite. It's obviously not going away and it could be something serious. It's not worth your life. :(

Alright, probably stupid to post this but a chance of one in a million that someone knows something, it's worth it.
I am exhausted. All the time. I am getting no answers from my doctor, she has basically told me I'm her guinea pig. Next week I get to try another pill...woohoo:( I have scoured the internet and every illness that has my symptons, I have already had the test to tell me:That's Not It After my son was born I had 3 months of amazing health. I was happy and energtic, I lost the baby weight. My hair, skin and nails still had that 'mommy' glow. Then I crashed. So began the therapy cause they thought I had post partum depression. (I knew I didn't because I was completely in love with my baby- I just had a problem with the rest of the world. If I had the option of spending the first year with him on a deserted island-I would have been just FINE) Then came medications and bloodwork and now looking back, I wasted my time and money. My energy level is decreasing by the day it seems. I feel like a clock winding down. I am irritable and have very little patience. I hate being around people lately, they all seem to talk too much and too loud. All noises bother me come to think of it. I wish I could just go away and be completely alone for about a month and just sleep. I mean REALLY sleep, not to be woken up by alarms or phones or snoring or kids or bad mattresses or the fucking cat. When we were in NYC, I had a good night's sleep for the first time in 10 years. Right now I am on ,what is basically, speed. I feel worse, but now with the added joy of insomnia.:rolleyes: My doctor has put me on this for a short time to jump-start my system so to speak,"Let's see what happens". I will take the test for Adult ADHD next. Why? I have no fucking clue. Also they will be giving me a sleep study in the near future. |

Have they done blood tests to check for anemia and low iron? My suggestion for now would be to take vitamin B12, since I don't know what tests your doctor has done.

thats how i feel when i'm not exercising. I have been doing nothing for the last month - Dr's orders because of my knee .. and i feel tired all the time. when i'm playing sports i feel muscle tired after - but i have more energy. it becomes a hard habit to break - you feel too tired to exercise ... but once i'm able - i'll be back forcing myself to do activity until my energy level is up..

Tell your husband to sleep on the couch friday night and leave you the fuck alone on saturday.
I'm no tkidding, Bree has horrible insomnia and is a light sleeper, so when she gets overtired, I sleep on the couch because these days i could sleep on the roof of a speeding car. On weekends, she sleeps in and I take Lily out and about. She gets a nice recharge. "But what about you? When do you get to catch up?" Well, this is still in negotiations. But, I drink enough coffee to give an elephant heart palpitations, so i can at least function. PLus i am getting more than the 3-5 hours a night I was a month ago, so 6-7 feels like heaven. Have you been tested for anemea? or jaundice? both can make you feel increasingly tired over time, and jaundice has the added perk of turning you yellow (Lily had it her first 2 weeks o flife, whicgh is where this whole sleeping fiasco started for us). there are all kinds of fun things that can lead to those symptoms... |

I was borderline with my thyroid test but the OTHER tests that went with it nullified any thyroid problems. I thought maybe adrenal fatigue, but the test for that is brutal. I take one of those super ultra mega vitamins:) plus a coupla herbal supplements that were suggested for energy. |

@Nova
Have you check your thyroid gland checked out? After my mom was pregnant with me, hers got all out of whack and gave her symptoms of fatigue and depression. As for your cat, do you let the cat "sleep" with you? I know a lot of people do that and they wonder why they have trouble sleeping. Cats are nocturnal and move around too much at night. I have two cats and keep them sequestered in the kitchen at night. It works best for all of us. Whatever amphetamines your doctor has you on, you need to get off of them. Jacking your system up not only deprives you on the rest time your body needs, but it puts strain on your organs. You might want to take a sleeping pill for a week or two to catch up on your sleep. But yeah, amphetamines are bad. How are the other things in your life going? Are you happy? Do you have alone time or something you can do to relax and destress? Sometimes I feel physically sick/tired when mentally, I am not happy. I have been doing yoga and it has made a big difference in my life not only exercise wise (which is clinically shown to make you happier) but also for my mood and has allowed me to destress and ultimately deal with life better. I hope things get better. :)

Another possibility, one which will negate any pills and vitamins you may be taking no matter how effective they are for energy:
Depression. It can be insidious and you may not even be aware of it (no post-partum, just plain old, run of the mill depression). Have you been down about anything lately? |
