Let me see. I do have memories of certain ones I saw waaaaaaay back.

I remember something with dinosaurs fighting each other. But this was such a long time back, I am not sure what the dinosaurs looked like. But the image of it was scary to me!

And I remember seeing some of the 1931 "Frankenstein" and noting what the inside of Frankenstein's la-BOR-atory looked like.

The Blob (1956) on T.V. with my grandmother, when I was 5....way back in 1980.

The film that made me fall in love with the genre...JC's Halloween @ the age of 10. (I have cool parents)

my earliest horror memory is of my uncle screening a copy of "i was a teenage werewolf" when i was maybe four or five.
i was hooked. i remember loving it and asking him for more.
then came the universal classics, halloween, night of the living dead, etc.

The Killer Shrews. (1959)

Watching the black guy getting killed, the shrews scratching through the walls and the barrel escape with all those sharp teeth scared the hell out of me as a child. Saw the movie on DVD recently and laughed my ass off at the simplicity of it all.

Ok, so you know what's funny? My boyfriend is a horror fan and I told him that I couldn't identify Peter Cushing and Chris Lee which, of course, made him laugh incredulously, "You don't know the stars of HAMMER FILMS?!"

...

And now I know where hammerfan's Screen Name comes from. heh. :o

It's all falling into place.
