Cross of Iron is based upon the novel The Willing Flesh, by Willi Heinrich, published in 1956; it might be loosely based on the true story of Johann Schwerdfeger. Very interesting. I must get this one.

Anyone mentioned Saigon or Casualties Of War yet?
It looks way cool, too. But now with Elvis recommending, it is a surefire must-see. :D

Casualties of War was good. I wasnt impressed much though. I thought they overdid it a bit.

Havent seen Saigon yet.

Any idea about this...

It lies on the shelf of a downtown store I visited yesterday. Looks tempting too...and is priced at about 14 bucks.

Anyone else got it? And if so, how are the movies in it?

i've got the horror and sci-fi ones ... but i think i'd hesitate before getting the war one.

bad horror and sci-fi is passable because they have atheir charms ..

i cant think of anything more tedious than a bad war film.

Not to mention the movies listed are some which I have never heard of, except some such as the Iwo Jima one, Battle of Britain etc...

I ll give it a skip till I get a favorable report.

Gotta admit, some of these 50 movie packs were so tempting that I used to get very impulsive while buying em. Only when I realised that the transfers and pic/audio quality are very shoddy on some, which put me off from buying these for awhile now.
