I've spoken with Gulager and Dunstan about this and they both told me that they're taking advantage of the fact that direct to DVD films don't need to go through the MPAA movie rating process - these films will be grosser and more obnoxious that the first one.

I just hope these films help make my friend Jenny Wade (Honey Pie) into the movie star she should be. She's an awesome person and is absolutely stunning in person

Article pulled from http://www.fangoria.com:

September 8: FREE screening! FEAST 2 at NYC’s Pioneer

FANGORIA will host a free screening of the eagerly awaited sequel FEAST 2: SLOPPY SECONDS at the Two Boots Pioneer Theater (155 East 3rd Street and Avenue A) on Friday, October 3 at 11 p.m., marking the film’s East Coast premiere. In the new film, again directed by John Gulager and penned by SAW IV-V’s Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, the hungry desert creatures invade a small, secluded town where the locals must band with the survivors of the first film’s bar massacre to battle the ravenous beasts. FEAST cast members Jenny Wade, Clu Gulager and Diane Goldner return for another round of monster bashing.

The Fango/Pioneer FEAST 2 screening will be a free show; to obtain tickets, send an e-mail to [email protected]. Offer is good for you and one guest. You must list “FEAST 2” as your subject line; plus, tell us your full name and whether you want to be added to the FANGORIA newsletter list so we can tell you about future Fango screenings and events. Names will be checked at the door. Offer is first come, first served, and we will confirm your RSVP. This advance preview is sponsored by Dimension Extreme/Genius Products.

So mark your calendar for Fango’s free showing of FEAST 2 on October 3 (the same night as our almost sold-out TRAILER PARK OF TERROR show, which screens at 7 p.m.). Go here for a list of all our fall fright shows, and read up on FEAST 2: SLOPPY SECONDS here and here. —Tony Timpone

Just watched Feast II: Sloppy Seconds in NYC this weekend.

Part II was definitely trying to channel pure and utter Schlock only. Very little substance and a whole lot of gore, violence, and bodily fluids.

I was a bit more disgusted than I was entertained (which was obviously the point), though my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed it (he's a fan of Schlock - apparently I am not). Not to mention, while the story "picks up where we left off," it follows a set of characters (some familiar, most new) whom I honestly did not care for for the most part; they were obviously and purposefully expendable, and, well, I couldn't wait until they... ran their course.

If you love a pure schlock-fest, check out Feast II (boyfriend gives it a B+/A-).

If you don't, maybe leave this one alone (I give it a B-).

Regardless, I look forward for the third installment.
