Oh hell, no Dead Rising yet. Oh, and Shivers... and Boktai. Just remembered playing Alien Vs. Predator for the Jaguar, what a badass game for the time. Going around as the marine and torching things was sweet and sneaking up on people as the Predator was brilliant. One of the few good games for the system.

Nice call on Diablo, Despare. I fondly remember skipping class to finish up a level or two... and the expansion pack... Ah de memories...

I have to mention it, because I loved it as a kid, "Haunted House" for the Atari

I used to have The Aliens Trilogy or Aliens or some game based on that series for the PS2. It was pretty entertaining and dark and spooky as it should be.

There is one on the tip of my brain. It's not Bloodrayne (which could be added on account of watching a breasty redhead slaughter Nazis) nor is it Wolfenstein. It is a game based on killing undead Nazis.

Gabriel Night (or possibly Knight... dunno...haven't played/seen it in a very long time).

Max Payne
Painkiller
Flashback - The quest for Identity
Deus Ex
God of War
Farenheit AKA Indigo Prophecy

....All have what I'd consider either horror/thriller/gruesome elements, not really "horror" games, but I think they belong in damn near ANY gaming top 100.

More horror-ish
5 Days a Guest
Nightmare creatures was pretty good, not sure about the sequel though.
Carrier on dreamcast
Res Evil 0 seemed great from what I played.
Sword of the Beserk, also cool.
Illbleed - never knew what the fuck was going on, but very creative.

Final Fantasy 7 had somewhat horror elements to it. Well I'm also biased as this is my favorite game ever.

Also I'm not sure but Don't think I saw THE SUFFERING mentioned.

Wow, all good additions. NICE work Despare, huge list.

We are up to 84 titles now.

Just out of curiousity, are you going to make this list all nice and sticky worthy where people can write blurbs? Are we going to come up with a big list and then vote?

I'll help if you want, but just be warned I have a lot of time constraints right now.

I planned on trying to stick to your established format with it. I would absolutely appreciate any help, but no biggie about time constraints, i live with more than i ever wanted myself.
