Not so much horror, but I didnt think much of Hitchcock's Vertigo, either. Ok, so it had a couple good twists and a great performance from James Stewart. Too bad that's all it had going for it...
You know, you and I have very similar tastes, but I was always shocked to see you didn't care for these two.

IMO Vertigo is perfect. One of my top 5 favorite films of all time. The performances are impeccable, the plot is flawless, the twists are wacky, the pacing is fast and fiery, the score is chilling, the sets are hauntingly fantastic. Again, IMO, this is Hitchcock's finest masterpiece, and an American film I hope my grand kids show their grand kids...

I usually, like Urge and Rod said, tend to agree with most "greats".

A lot of people loved The Boondock Saints around here (as in where I live). In fact, some have cults around it. I thought the movie was utter trash.

Of course, if they're conisdered "greats", I hated Saw, and I hated Hostel even more.

As of now, I can't think of any classics or genre leaders that I really don't like.

Neither of those were. But I've seen some people that liked the two movies.

Halloween.
The first one was "ok" but IMO nothing great...the sequels, downhill descent.

The Producers - saw the "new" one...didn't like it at all, I can only assume I'd feel the same about the old one, same shit, different cast, hm?

...and, I just can't like reservoir dogs. Bores the shit outta me...especially upon the second viewing...

I didn't find TCM boring, but it never really made a splash with me either...I mean sure, I guess for it's time it would've turned some heads...but it's never done a great deal for me, not something I'd see again unless I was bored, and it was on tv, for free, and I had nothing else, pretty much at all, to do.
I mean, surely it had what splatter/thriller fans were after, and the whole intense psychological...blah blah blah...etc, but just didn't really work for me.

Braindead I like...not for it's shitty storyline, acting, or camerawork, but for two things, the insanity and gore factors. It's hard not to laugh...oh, and the kung fu preist. It's not like groundbreaking shit, and it's meant to be stupid on stupid...
The one I DIDN'T like was Jacksons prior film "bad taste", found that waaay too slow and boring...

This should be illegal- judging an original, and great, movie based only on a remake made many years later.

The original Producers is fantastic. I highly reccomend you checking it out. It's kind of like the remake, only funny. It isn't a cutesy musical like the new one, trust me. It's risque humor and an excellent cast, with superb direction by Mel Brooks.
