No one said Night of the Living Dead - heartbreakingly brutal

I agree with RU - night of the living dead was savage; i'd also have to give a nod to the ending of Texas Chainsaw (of course the original) - the insanity of it and the suddeness of the final cut was staggering.

oh, and i love the look on Loomis's face at the end of Halloween when MM has disappeared. i read that carpenter was filmed an alternate where michael is dead - thank god he went with the supernatural disappearance ending. . . classic!

How about 'The Fly'? Either version has a pretty tragic ending...

The first time I saw that, I was just staring at the screen, jaw hanging open, thinking "Uh...what the hell is happening here?"

God that was an amazing ending:D

Planning to finally buy that in the near future...I see in the Zeller's flyer this morning that they have a 2-pack with Blazing Saddles and Caddyshack for $12 (!), hopefully I'll get down after work tomorrow.

Wow. That, my friend, is a good deal. Usually 2-packs consist of a great movie and a piece of shit, but those are both great.
