I was close to my parents when I was young, then couldn't stand them for a while (my dad used to hit me until I started hitting back). But once I moved out, we got along fine. There's a lot of people out there who's parents couldn't give a rat's ass what happened to their kids. They, on the other hand, have to learn to let go a bit (or a lot). Try to talk to them about that, gently. You're almost "officially" an adult. They need to learn to let go. I hope something I said made sense or helped. You're one of my favorite people on this board and I am always willing to lend an ear, electronically or otherwise. Take care VC. Yes Posh, same goes to you. :)
