I think a prequel would go something like...
FADE IN: *Amanda Kruger explains the rape, birth and adoption *We see Fred's school years and abuse at the orpanage *The abusive foster father, beatings & self mutilation *The 1st kill, 2nd 3rd and 4th before killing his dad and hitting the road *Moving from place-to-place, job-to-job, kill-to-kill before settling in Springwood, meeting someone, getting a job and having a baby--and starting to kill again. (5) SUPER: FRED KRUEGER:SPRINGWOOD SLASHER SUPER: 1968 *1428 Elm Street, in the kitchen Fred, wife and daugther Kathrine read about the "20th known Slaying" *Fred drops off Katherine at Springwood Junior High and gets to work *Cops theorize about the killer (age, job, location) *Cops talks to a class of kids about talking to strangers *Kids play, a teacher asks Fred how someone can murder a child. Katherine asks Fred if she can go to a friends-yes (10) *Krueger drives, on he look-out for a victim-he spots a teen girl and pulls up along side her to talk-he asks if she wants a lift home-she accepts. They talk, Fred says he just has to get something from his boiler room along the way, she can come in. She does. *Krueger plays a nasty game with the girl and kills her. (15) --------------------------------------------------------- *Teen murder 2 (30) *Closing in... (40) --------------------------------------------------------- *Freddy plays with Katherine in the back garden *Mrs. Krueger looks around the basement ans stumbles across the murder room. She screams. *She emerges from the house--Fred tells Katherine he needs to talk to mommy alone and to go inside. She does. *Fred talks to his wife *Katherine looks around 'The Room' *Katherine emerges from the basement to see Fred strangling is wife *Fred blackmails Katherine into not telling and drags his wife into the basement *Fred tucks Katerine up in bed *Fred packs up his wifes clothes and gets rid of them (45) *Freddy drops Katherine at class with a reminder (50) *Katherine tells her teacher when asked what's wrong. The teacher informs the Principul who calls in the police *The police question Katherine while someone radios in for a search warrent *Someone watches over Fred *Freds house is searched, jackpot *Freddy is arrested after a stuggle (55) *News reports the arrest *Fred is brought into the station, taken in, question and charged *Freddy stands trial-his lawyer gets a quick release based on a technicality *Towns people attack the van that carries Freddy from court as the news reports *Freddy returns to his boiler room (60) *Angry parents unite, they see an angry mob on tv attacking the police station with petrol bombs and come around a plan:Kill Fred *Parents gallons of free gas from the station *Parents arrive at the boiler room *Freddy watches some home videos *Parents lay down gas around and inside the boiler room. They cover every exit and fire bomb the place. They watch it burn. *After the fire dies down, they bag Kruegers steaming bones and bag them. They drive to a car dump and place the bones in the boot of a Cadalac and leave. *Days go by without Freddy and news of his disappearence spreads as FBI think they can link Krueger to other child murders across the counrty *Somewhere in the darknes,. If they did do a perquel to the series anyone who has watched the series knows how the movie will end.

When was it ever said he molested childeren??.....never.....just murdered them...everytime nancy tells who he is its just murder not molester and I have the dvd collection with the wes interviews he was just a murderer.....I dont think it would have went over real well if they through in the molesting....another thing have you ever seen him sexually assault teens in there dreams????? besides joey but I dont think that counts......I think nancy might have been the closest but that was just the tounge coming out of the phone thing .....far from sexual abuse..

the movie would be good. it should simply be titled freddy krugger, not something like nightmare on elm st. the beggining.
craven should direct. as for child melestation being a touchy sub, they never actualy said freddy was a melester, just a murderer. as for any more sequils, robert could do it, with the exception of vs. the freddy character hasent been very active( physicly).
