Round 1: Match 14
Rocky Horror Picture Show  One of the very few musicals I like. Crazy, funny, occasionally really hot (Tim Curry in drag, mmmmm), and has one of the biggest fanbases of any movie that I know of. VS Platoon  Oliver Stone's made a lot of overblown and pretentious clunkers in his time. This is not one of them. Arguably the best vietnam movie ever made, including Apocalypse Now. Strong performances all around, tightly directed, never heavy-handed, great combat scenes, and a really intense village scene.
