I have known gay people and found them to be much happier and nicer than those that claim to be straight. It is not a lifestyle for me but I dont think anyone should pass judgement on anyone else for the choices they make when it comes to who they love.

people against gay marriage always claim that they want to 'uphold the sanctity of marriage' and that gays/lesbians marrying fuck it up
if anything is bringing down marriage, its all these quicky marriages between dumbass people that end up gettin divorced PRETTY nastily that does it. eg JENNIFER LOPEZ! so they'll let jennifer lopez do all that CRAP yet a loving, gay couple cant?

Marriage?
All you guys make me feel better about the world!
I've known I was gay for 40+ years--and I really haven't been repressed or my style cramped. I have just as many straight friends as gay ones--probably more. Yes, I have a boyfriend--but his parents like me--but it has never occurred to me to want to get married. Except for my parents, who were separated before my birth in 1943, all my parent figures have had long, happy marriages--58yrs.,61yrs. I'm one of the ones on the poll that voted for civil unions rather than marriage--I guess because the thought of marriage bores me. I personally have always thought that marriage is for the benefit of the offspring--of which I have none. But I do think couples who want to get married should be allowed to do so. Thanks again--I did not read a single post which I found offensive--or even that I really disagreed with. Must get back to packing and moving--D-day is Monday. Juan.
