Oh yes, yes, yesssssssss. A Christmas Carol, all the way. And I think the older ya get, the more the story means, the more the viewer understands. There's some dark thematic material in there, and the way it wraps up is profoundly spiritual and uplifting.

Santa Claus Conquers The Martians is one of the funniest movies ever made ("Santa Claus has powers that you don't know about!!") and as a matter of fact I was watching it yesterday.

I just watched Christmas Evil. Holy shit! That movie sucked some major balls. Do yourself a favor and don't watch it. It's way beyond 'so bad it's goo' and lands squarely in the 'so bad it just sucks alot' category.

Night of the Comet

If I recall, our story opens shortly after Christmas, though yuletide isn't exactly a central theme...

Fantastic movie, though!

You could almost add It's A Wonderful Life to the list. While not horror it's still one of the best episodes of Twilight Zone I ever saw.:D

I love the bad martian with the mustache.

Yeah, it was pretty horrible. I tried watching it On Demand and actually hung on longer than I thought I would... I kept HOPING it would get better.

But alas.

The 1951 Alastair Sim one is my favorite. I always cry at the end when he's asking his niece for forgiveness.

I also watch Scrooged every year. Bill Murray is the man.

Oddly enough, I watch Christmas Evil every couple of years. It's not "good" by any means, but I enjoy it. The ending it classic.
